You are looking at a fairly rare vintage Russian (USSR) Pobeda watch from 1950\'s. Pobeda were first original Russian watches that could easily compete with Swiss made ones. Pobeda was designed in collaboration with French LIP and loosely based on Lip 26 caliber. However it is genuine Russian production of 1st Moscow State Watch Factory. You can clearly see markings of the factory on the movement along with date of production: 2nd quarter of 1952. Pobeda is one of the longest in production Russian movements. It spanned from 1946 till 2000\'s with only minor modifications. And that\'s the best quality statement the movement can have. However only in early 50\'s and only a very few of them were cased in solid gold which make this watch pretty rare. Solid gold cases for these watches were made in Kiev and shipped to Moscow for final assembly. On one of the pictures you can see a close up of all gold marks and stamps from the case. The watch is in excellent condition for it\'s age showing minimal wear and tear. It is from my private collection, guaranteed to be original and all parts being correct. The watch went through a complete restoration recently. It sports a spotless crystal, slightly polished case, cleaned and oiled movement that runs great and keeps good time. Of course, as with any vintage watches, there are no guarantees of accuracy or reliability. But right now it runs perfect. Overall this is an excellent collectable piece.
