Possibly important Han Tang or Ming Dynasty style or origin Chinese Zodiac Burial Figure of a Goat Ram Sheep measuring approximately 11 inches in height. Remnant pigment still visible. Beautifully molded with a gentle serene and all knowingcomposure in keeping with those individuals born in the Year of the Sheep. He appears to be holding something important inhis hands just above his belted robe or tunic. Unbeknownst to me , some of my favorite people were born in the Year of the Sheep including my favorite actress Zhang Ziyi ( House of Flying Daggers ) and my favorite concubine turned ruler of China, the Empress Dowager Cixi. I don\'t have a favorite inventor of airplanes butworth noting that Orville Wright was also born in the Year of the Sheep.
Unknown exact age....I have not yet had the opportunity to perform any thermoluminescence tests. Expert opinion welcome.
Whether the above offered figure is a goat or a sheep is open to interpretation. According to AsiaOne:
