This sale is for a 1844 East India pattern socketBayonet. The bayonet measures 20 7/8\", with a 16 inch blade. There are numerous faint markings on the face which I\'ve pictured. The mottled surface is an overall shiny grey/silver. The spring attachment on the socket appears to have an old repair but this doesn\'t appear to affect the function. This is a very nice example of this bayonet and would grace any collection.
