Understandably, the pre- 1860 threads will be off a bit for US M1816, + M1842 muskets. BUT can be easily fitted. So, use old gunsmith trick - Partially grind down the threads + ease it in with oil. DO NOT over-grind. Do this SLOW, + use a large well fitting screwdriver..... You will not receive the picture, but very similar...... Well worth 35.00 pair today, if you can still find any..... Too thick for the Civil War 58 caliber muskets. All those thinner ones now gone. Mail order gun parts since 1965..... You get TWO..... TO - USA ONLY.....the original continental states only.....
