Up for your consideration is a 1903 Springfield stock. Based on our research in Brophy\'s 1903 Springfield book, we believe this to be from 1918 or earlier based on the original 1903 smooth butt plate and 2 stock screws, but we do not have a lot of expertise on antique gun parts so please check out the photos.

It is stamped on the wood with 2 circle stamps (circle P?) that are faded and mostly illegible. It is stamped on the front swivel ring with the letters \"U\" and \"R\". On the piece at the very front there is an \"S\" stamp.

This stock includes several metal parts, including swivels, and a detachable top piece that is locked in by the metal swivel ring. All these pieces and the stamps are pictured in this listing.
