President Abraham Lincoln autograph endorsement signed as President on Dec 3, 1864. The historical document is written by President Lincoln and reads as follows:

\"Let this man take the oath of Dec. 8, 1863 & be discharged. A Lincoln Dec. 3, 1864.\"

This document issued amnesty to a Confederate soldier during the Civil War. This was in accordance with the Proclamation of Amnesty on December 8, 1863, where Confederates would be given amnesty if they took the oath of allegiance to the United States.

The document measures approximately 3 5/8 x 2 3/4 inches. The document is in overall very good condition.
