Time magazine\'s Christmas 2000 issue celebrating its Person of the Year, President-Elect George W. Bush, signed \"Geo Bush\" as President. Bush signed in thick black ink across his chin. The signature is accompanied by an autograph letter signed by Bush staffer Karl Rove to the piece\'s former owner, authenticating it. \"Dear Dr. Schneiderman, Thanks for yours of May 7 and send the Time magazine and we\'ll see what we can do. Sincerely yours Karl Rove\". The date of Rove\'s letter (May 17, 2001) concerns that Bush signed as President, not President-elect. There is some wear to the cover of the magazine, not affecting the signature.
