This listing is for a gathering of primitive handmade jack-o-lanterns that I have placed inside of an old painted wood box. This delightful Halloween or Fall decoration would look great sitting in the center of your old table or on top of an old dry sink or cupboard. The box of jack-o-lanterns can be placed anywhere you would like a bit of Halloween spirit!
The five jack-o-lanterns are made out of four different homespuns....perfect for the Halloween/Fall season! They are made in sections for a nice roundish shape and have been stuffed very firmly. I embroidered the faces on the jack-o-lanterns with black floss. I stained these guys with a coffee/vanilla mixture and they have dried to a perfectly aged appearance. I then added real twigs for their stems and placed a bit of moss around them. The jack-o-lanterns measure between 4\" and 4-1/2\" across.
I placed the jack-o-lanterns inside of a wonderful old wood box that I found and painted, sanded and stained for an aged appearance. The guys are nestled in Spanish moss. I added a few stems of black Sweet Annie around the jack-o-lanterns. The box measures about 11\" across at the bottom and slants outward to about 12-1/2\" at the top. It measures about 8-1/2\" deep at the top and is about 4-1/2\" tall. Please note that the box is NOT bright white as it may appear in the pictures and has a more aged appearance than the pictures may show.
I pinned (with a stained wood clothespin) a primitive tag to the box....it has the words \"Halloween Greetings\" stamped on it.
