Up for offers is an antique 1800\'s stoneware pottery wax sealed canning or storage crock with a light brown colored glaze that was probably made here in southwestern Pennsylvania where it was found in the cellar of an old farmhouse. The crock stands 10 1/4\" high and measures 6 1/2\" wide across the bottom and will hold just a little bit less than 5 quarts of water when filled to the top rim. There is a small chip along the inside edge of the top opening as seen in the one picture that was probably made when the wax sealed lid was pried off the top of the crock. There are also some glaze skips on the inside of the crock where the inside surface didn\'t get covered by the glaze when the crock was made that can be seen on the inside of the crock in the last picture. These are not chips in the clay. Just skips on the surface of the clay. Otherwise the crock is in it\'s original condition with just a little bit of wear to the outside glaze. Overall a very nice old wax sealer crock in very good condition. Being sold as pictured and described so please ask any questions you may have before you place a offer.
