Up for sale is a large primitive antique wood shad board for smoking fish over open outdoor trenches, recently found at sale in the suburban Philadelphia area. The brass or bronze cap does not attract a magnet. Remnants of old paint in the middle. Uncommon style, very native American indian style, quite primitive, great old heavy thick wood. Large and heavy - local pick up would be great! 36 x 18 x 3\".Some losses to the wood from age and use, some cracking to the wood from drying out for over 100 years. Best guess late 19th century to turn of last century.
