As the primitiveman, I enjoy using old wood and sometimes I have old wood in Original Paint to recreate antiques we once hadbut are hard to find today. Offered here is such a piece, a Primitive Noodle Board made of 1860\'s Pennsylvania Dutch German wood in Original Deep RedPaint which started life as an Cradle.Noodle Boards and Dough Boards were used in early kitchens to roll out noodle dough and bread dough on a wide board. The three raised sides kept the flour and dough on the board. This is a three sided board which is in OriginalDeep RedPaint with Original Paint Decorated Pin Striping in Mustard and Dark Green. The folky cut out handle and decorative shaped cuts are original and wonderful! This is dovetailed and square nailed. The sides are canted. The wood is Cherry and poplar. The timeworn Patina is beautiful and smooth from its age and a long lifetime of daily use. The overall measurements are 19 1/2\" lx 18\" wx 57/8\" h. Originally used for bread, biscuit and noodle making, this is used in Primitive kitchens today to cover stove tops.
