Offering a lovely old pair of hand knit stockings. These were probably made in the 1930\'s or earlier. Years ago I bought a stock of these that were hand made for the apple pickers in northern Wisconsin. The apple orchard would give out warm clothing to the migrant workers to wear while harvesting the apples. The women in the neighboring communities would knit stockings and donate them to the orchard owners to hand out. The stock I came across years ago had never been used for some reason or another. Nice rich brown. Hard to find and more sought after. These have been packed away. Look great on a peg rack with brown homespun. No holes or stains. From a smoke free home. They measure 21 inches in length. 100% wool hand knit. Each of the stockings have a yarn that was left as the cuff was completed making it possible for you to tie them together to hang them.
