Acrylic Acetate is a softer acrylicas turning goes but plenty durable. It comes in a variety of colors rangingfrom solid colors to rich shimmering colors and various blends in between.
A local company manufactures the InlaceAcrylester pen blanks. They’re a require some experience on the turnerspart before working as they are fairly hard and can shatter while turning by anovice. The benefit is these pearlescent blanks look truly amazing finished andhave a vibrant depth of color. In the light some are almost overwhelming inluminescence.
Mica pearltm: Theseacrylics are a feast to the eye! Designed swirl patterns provide an appearanceof real pearl. These too have a brittle quality to them and requires anexperienced turner to do them justice.
