Let her walk into your decor.This is an all-handmade item, a labor of love. I began by pouring pure porcelain-white portland cement into a box, letting it harden to about the consistency of feta cheese, then sculpting it. I began with a butter knife, and as the sculpture hardened over a period of three days, I moved to wood whittling knives, woodcarving chisels, stone-carving chisels, tungsten-caroffere and diamond rasps, and finally sandpaper. This reproduction was made by a further process in which I meticulously covered the original in silicone rubber to create a mold, recast this unique reproduction in a special cast stone with the hardness of granite, then gently resculpted, tinted and polished with lambswool, all done the old-fashioned way, slowly by hand. A coating of carnauba oil and beeswax gives it a silky-smooth lustrous protective marble finish.
