DescriptionThis is a BEAUTIFUL, excellent quality vintage diamond pendant necklace in solid 14k white gold. The pendant was purchased without a chain, so my consignor paired it with this lovely, complementing diamond-cut 14k white gold rope chain, 16\" in length.The pendant is all \"illusion-set\" which means that the diamonds are set in individual heads, with extra white gold in a diamond-cut pattern around each stone, making each little diamond look larger. It looks like there is a ton of diamond weight in this pendant, when in reality, it\'s about .50 ctw. The pendant itself is a large substantial size, at 5/8\" in diameter.The pendant is done in three tiers, in a sort of \"puffy\" basket mount (see photos of the nicely crafted setting, especially from the underside). The center diamond is 2.7 mm (about .07 ct). Eight diamonds are in the next level down, and 16 more diamonds are set in the lower border. The smaller diamonds range from 1.5 to 1.7 mm, with total diamond weight in this pendant at about .50 ctw. The diamonds are graded as F/G color and VS to SI1 clarity, by our experienced estate jeweler.The pendant measures 1\" from top of bail to bottom, and it\'s 5/8\" in diameter (not including the bail). It is marked 14k inside the bail. The chain is 16\" long and is marked 14k Italy. The necklace weighs a hefty 6.7 grams, and is in EXCELLENT vintage condition.
