They were made by Robert & William Wilson of Philadelphia PA circa 1825 -1846. Ice was a commodity in the 1830\'s. Only very prominent family\'s would have a pair of silver ice tongs. They are 6\" long and in superb condition. They show no wear on the tips or handles. 185 years old and they are in show room condition. I am running a number of other Wilson items so please see my other items. I will gladly combine shipping.
