This sale representsunique example of a vintage men\'s timepiece of one of the most known andrecognized Swiss brands. It was made by“Omega Factory” in 1921. It is an amazing large skeleton dress timepiece.
Sincethe dawn of horology, people have been fascinated by the interaction of wheels,levers, and springs in timepieces. Therefore, it is not surprising that giftedwatchmakers occasionally took a fancy to showcasing the wondrous innerchoreography of their creations – much to the delight of their customers.
This gorgeous man’s watchfeatures original blue steel hands of Brequet-style and red“sweep” second’s hand.
A hardened transparent material is provided on the front and backcover for viewing the skeleton mechanisms of the watch working and to imagineall those parts of the watch in full view. By affording a fascinating glimpseinto the microcosm of hours, minutes, and seconds, it not only captivates theowner with an extravagant setting but also delivers metaphoric insights intothe unfathomable fleetingness of time.
This beautiful mechanicalwristwatch has the original magicgold-filled movement in an excellent status which was very well saved,considering age of this watch and has been in addition updated and engraved bythe craftsman. Each part of the mechanism, each millimeter it is decorated by amagnificent magic ornament. Thebridges in addition to extensive skeletonization have been gorgeously engravedas well. All componentsembellished with exquisite engravings give the elements more filigreed look andcause the incident light to literally dance on this watch.
This model of timepiece has afour-piece, double hinged case. Theexistence of an inner dust cover lid is a good sign of a quality watch. It wasused to protect the mechanism from dust and debris and to provide an extralayer of protection from shock or moisture. The inside of back lid has the old trademark Omega symbol and casereference number #6.638.832.
The winding crown is in very good shape and operates properly.
The original movement of thismechanical watch is in an excellent status which was very well saved,considering age of this watch. The signed original movement with genuine jewels has serial number #5.774.039. The serial number on the movement places thedate of production of this piece at 1921.
Atfirst, this interesting timepiece was acutely-fashionable pocket watch. Later this watchwas remade for use as a wristwatch.

HISTORY: The History of aSuccessful Company Omega was founded by Louis Brandt at La Chaux – de – Fonds, Switzerlandin 1848 as an assembly workshop. In 1879, after his death, his two sons LouisPaul and César started the in-house manufacturing so they started having totalproduction control. One year later, Omega moved into a small factory thatbecame a huge one when 12 months later they bought the entire building. In1903, they both died leaving the company in 24 years old, Paul Emile Brandt’shands. Because of the crisis that the Second World War left, he had to workreally hard in order to face the economic difficulties. He merged Omega withTissot calling the new company SSIH. The SSIH group continued to grow andmultiply under his leadership and, by the seventies, it had become Switzerland’snumber one producer of finished watches and number three in the world.
In1985, the holding company was taken over by a group of private investors underNicolas Hayek leadership. It was immediately renamed SMH (Société suisse deMicroélectronique et d\'Horlogerie). SMH had a rapid growth and success becomingtoday\'s top watch producer in the world. Named Swatch Group in 1998, it nowincludes Blancpain and Breguet.
