Rare Silver Filigree Etrog - Sukkot Basket
Poland Late 18th - Early 19th CenturyOn offer here is this quite delightful and beautifully handcrafted Judaica silver filigree Etrog/Sukkot basket with 12 Loth purity mark consistent with 18th/19thC Poland hallmarking and with a script makers mark of \'H.J.\'The basket is 8 sided and of oval form, composed as 8 filigree panels applied with elongated diamond shaped appliques as well as some tear-drop and circular pieces applied to the swing handle and interior base.The piece is offered together with a pair of 19thC., Austro Hungarian sugar tongs (nips) marked with a 13 Loth purity stamp, which does not match the piece but which came with the piece when we acquired it.Total silver weight is 295 grams.Condition Report

This charming piece is in sound, functional order though there are a couple of spots of old solder to elements of the underside of the base. This does not distract from the charm of this piece and could of course be easily remedied if desired.5½\" (14 cm) long x 4¼\" (11 cm) wide
