You are offerding on a 1930\'s Original Japanese CREPE Woodblock Print titled, \"A Port Town in the Night\" by Shotei. 15 -1/2\" x 12 -1/4\" (Frame); 10 x 7 \" (Creped Paper). Folk #240. A beautiful Shotei design, framed and ready to hang and enjoy! The wood frame was crafted by a descendant of Robert O. Muller and used exclusively for chuban size works.UV-Glass and custom acid-free matte.Chirimen-gami-e (\"crepe paper\") or sometimes referred to as \'crepon\'. Ukiyo-e crepe prints were produced at least as early as 1800 in Edo, and throughout the nineteenth century they were used on occasion for alternate states of some ukiyo-e designs. The compression technique resulted in a highly textured surface and slightly smaller paper size.
