I think this is the bottom half of a 1941 Coro bird/birdhouse locket, there is a rough spot at the very top that may have been a hook that broke..?. The pin works and holds well, and this can be worn just fine as pictured--the hook at the top and the bird part that would be above the birdhouse are long gone. The pin works if you turn the locket upside down, otherwise it is too top heavy, but as you see in my pictures it looks pretty that way and is a great way to show off pictures of loved ones inside.Shipped in new 2x3 white jewelry box pictured, some of the enamel has worn and some of the rhinestones show some age, but the locket part still works and has the film covers and frame holders in never used excellent condition. I found a Coro patent and a picture of a one in original condition for you to see. The metal is hefty and glossy, I can\'t find a mark, it was probably on the bird that used to be attached. It weighs .7 ounces or 20 grams. It is 2 inches tall and 1 and 1/2 inches across. It is still a fabulous bird house locket brooch in as is condition.
