RARE 19th C.ANTIQUE BROWN SEAWEED DECORATED8\" TEA BOWL MOCHAWARE MOCHA YELLOW WARE AAFA.
Offered today is a RARE Large 8\" Diameter Yelloware bowl with Brown seaweed decoration.
The mustard colored body, with tapered sides and molded foot-ring is decorated with a wide white band
further decorated with rare brown seaweed decoration/devices.
This large 8\" size is extremely rare and hard to find!
The Brown decoration is thickly applied, clear, and rich.
Condition is Outstanding with age appropriate wear and crazing to the glaze.
Typical manufacturing flaws include a drying 1/4\" line on the footring,
three lines on rim measuring 1/2\", 1/2\", and 3/4\" all appearing to be drying lines done in the making.
The bottom of the bowl exhibits wear to the glaze from years of use. No repairs/restorations.
Overall a Rare seaweed decorated bowl remaining in outstanding condition!
