This is a wonderful antique Wedgwood majolica sardine dish dating to the late 1800s - the registry diamond on base is hard to read. The attention to detail on this piece is amazing - from the anchor on the lid to the beautifully modelled glazed fish on the handles. The dish is fully marked with the impressed Wedgwood factory mark and has other marks as well as the registry diamond. There has been some restoration to one of the fish and to the lid (see pics). There are no chips or cracks but there is some staining as shown. This beautiful dish is being offered at a low, price to reflect condition. Approx 9.5 inches long and 3 inches at the tallest point.
