Up for sale is this spectacular antique French mantle clock with the original key. The escapement is marked with a circle that reads “Marti Et Cie, Medaille Argent 1889”, under that is reads “Made in France 5 2.” The porcelain decorations on the pillars and on the front are complete with no missing paint. The beveled glass is without any cracks or chips. Although I see no chips, cracks or repairs, this clock is being offered as is, it needs a good cleaning and is not working at this time as someone did over wind it. I have taken many pictures for a better visual description. One of the pillars needs to be tightened. It stands 16 ¼” tall and it is 9” wide.
