Written onthe front is “børnehjalpsdag – 1927 which literally translated means Children’s(børne), help (hjalps), day (dag), a Danish holiday at that time. Adjusted forAmerican English and it means Children’s Welfare day.On the backis the Royal Copenhagen logo with crown over the three (3) blue waves (the Bingand Grandahl/Royal Copenhagen authenticity mark, and the numbers 170. or 17 andthe artist’s mark followed by a period.

Sorry about the shiny shimmers in a couple of places on the photo –it is hard to take a photo with out some glare. And the back has a little bit of dirt – that I forgot to take off until after the photos was take. But is is now clean and pristine.
