Up for sale is an extraordinary antique art nouveau era gold washed sterling silver and garnet brooch(I think this piece could also be worn on a chain as a large, dynamic pendant) by John W. Reddall and Co. of Newark, New Jersey circa early 1900\'s. The brooch features an extremely detailed scrolling repousse design with leaves and lion faces. The workmanship is superb and reminiscent of pieces by William B. Kerr. The brooch measures approx 2 3/4\" x 3 3/8\" and is marked with Reddall\'s crown hallmark along with \"STERLING 925 FINE\"(it weighs approx 26 grams). I believe the pin back and catch are later replacements. Aside from that, the condition is excellent with only light signs of wear consistent with age.
