A UNIQUE ANTIQUE, PRIMITIVE CIGAR BOX QUILT c1905. Hand made example of Americana fabric art. Hand feather stitched. The flannel cigar box squares represent Flags from around the world; including 5 1/2\" x 7 1/2\" squares of Holland, United States (2), Persia, Turkey (3), Italy (3), Roumania, Germany (2, 1 with tear), Austria-Hungary (2), Denmark, So. African Republic, Russia, China (2), Sweden, Japan, Brazil, Cuba, Portugal, Greece (3), Bulgaria (small holes) and Servia. 8\" x 10\" squares include Cuba, United States (3), Scotland, Russia and the Netherlands. Large 10\" x 14\" United States Flag in center. Good condition for being 110 years old. A rare piece of Americana. Excellent antique wall decor. No binding or quilting. Red flannel back with few light stains and small holes in 1 far corner. Faded. Missing 1 cigar square. Some tearing (see photos). Last photo shows 2 vintage squares & new cigar printed flannel fabric included with quilt for repairs if desired. Wood make look great framed.
