This clock was just purchased at an upper end smoke free home\'s Estate Sale. This is an antique Seth Thomas brass and glass mantel clock #48S 8 day windup that is in excellent condition and working order. Keeps very accurate time. No scratches or damage. I have not polished the brass as I\'m not sure it is wise to do so... The clock gongs on the half hour and the amount on the hour. It is very heavy as it is made of brass with a door on the front and a door in the back. Both have beveled glass The previous owner called this a Regulator Clock and it has the Mercury tubes on the pendulum. Clocks such as this is normally passed on to the heirs, but sadly there are none. This clock was made in the USA in the early 20th century.
