Here is an Antique Sewer Tile Bird House....which is very rare, since very few bird houses were made !
It measures 8 1/4\" tall x 8\" in diameter.
This was made in the early 1900\'s in Ohio at DALTON POTTERY.
This is one of the best detailed Bird Houses to be made out of sewer tile pottery.....and it\'s made in the most desired \"WOOD TREE\" pattern.
It appears to have been never used, since the wooden floor is not there, or was never added.....(if you look) there are no chips around the floor mounting holes, which would normally \"chip around the nail holes\" when the wood floor is attached with nails.
This bird House still looks like it is in new condition, with no damage anywhere.
These sewer tile items were made by the workers at the tile factory, with the left over sewer tile clay or pottery (usually at the end of the day) during the early 1900\'s.
