I will be listing a variety of nice estate-fresh Antique and Vintage Items over the next week. Here is an UNUSUAL AND SCARCE ANTIQUE WROUGHT IRON FOUR WICK GREASE OR BETTY LAMP ON NICE DECORATED POLE AND TRIPOD BASE WITH FEET. It is 23-1/4\" tall. I\'ve never seen anything quite like this 4-wick grease lamp before and couldn\'t find anything quite like it in my research either. Possibly 18thC vintage. You are buying it just as it was found in a central Massachusetts estate as you see it. I assume something is missing from the threaded top and probably missing three of the hanging hooks on the shaped plate over the 4-wick pan. I\'m not even sure how this lamp is supposed to be put together but it seemed to go together like you see it but not sure. Nice triple and double point decoration all along the shaped four-sided bottom half of pole.
The lamp is in old, untouched patina as found. The center pole connection to the circular base is a bit loose, so pole will lean somewhat to one side. One of the three legs is also loose and will swivel, but still connected to base okay. A wonderful and possibly rare antique lamp. INSURANCE INCLUDED in the shipping total.
