RARE Antique 18th 19th C PA HAND WROUGHT FORGED Iron Decorated HEARTH SPOON #8--- It is a very hard to find a spoon - we normally see ladles, strainers, spatulas, forks, tasting spoons but never this form or design. This still has the original collectors tags or labels on the back- we left them just as found- hard to read- but it looks like a name and a note that it was made by ????-hard to read. It is early iron and is nicely crafted by an artisan with an arrow design feature on the back of the spoon.. It is most likely from Lancaster County Pennsylvania as most of of our utensils are but we are not sure of the exact attribution. It is nicely crafted by a blacksmith during the late 1700s or early 1800ss. The spoon measures 16.25\" in length with the bowl width at approx 2.75\" at widest point of bowl.
