Eyecatching design of Rhodin\'s \"The Thinker\" surrounded by laurel leaves. A rare find indeed, as I\'ve only seen it twice before, in a private collection & a museum. A solid \"STERLING\" silver signed, \"The Louisville Times Medal For Effort\". This was a newspaper sponsored awarded to teachers, Awarded to \"Thursby Barker, George Rogers Clark School\" June 1922.A gem of an er informed me that this school was in Louisville, KY area, and was torn down in the 20s to build apartments or condos. Nice for anyone who went to that school.Wonderful condition in every way! No pitting to silver. Measures 1 3/8 diameter & heavy. Note those are NOT scratches on back side, but the designetched into it. Hallmark \"STERLING\" on back side for .925 purity.You\'ll be very pleased with the condition on anearly 100 year old award medal.Just add a chainfora lovely large necklace pendant.
