Excellent condition. Old brass wall-hanging oil lantern with a double wick/duplex burner; marked Made in England John Scott on wick turners.Measures about 25\" long by about 17\" wide and comes away from the wall about 8\". It is in the same condition as I found it, showing scratches and wear and age and having been cleaned sometime before I purchased it. It has a small bit of mild denting, easier to feel than to see, to the edge of the area which touches the wall. There is residual verdigris around some hardware. I used gentle finger pressure and was not able to turn the wicks or the oil cap. There is apparently no oil in it. It has both wicks. The clear glass globe is about 12\" high and has been with the lamp at least since a prior collector purchased it and otherwise it is unknown how old the globe might be, nor whether it might be original to the lamp.Sold and described to me many years ago as a \"DODGE CITY LIGHT\" by the executor of a late collector\'s estate in Southern California. All the antiques in that estate were beautiful and unique. Other than being described as a \"DODGE CITY LIGHT\" the lantern\'s specific origin was unknown to the executor.(If you are interested in acquiring a pair of these, I have seen a similar brass lamp listed by another seller here on .)I\'m no expert.
