Fabulous and very RARE Majolica Water Lilly elephant. Beautiful yellow and green majolica colors, 19th centure, Excellent condition, just the expected age related crazing and a few tiny tiny rim chips to the rim of the water lilly, too small to photograph. 9\" wide, 8 1/2\" tall and 4 1/2\" deep. This is the most RARE piece of Majolica I have ever seen. Elephants are very desirable to collectors and the Water Lilly pattern in Majolica is iconic! This piece has so much detain from the water lily flower on the base of the leaves, to the sweet elephant tail, terminating in a leaf pattern. The colors are vibrant and lovely. This is a very important piece of Majolica history and is very collectable
