This Hand mirror is from the turn-of-the-century

It\'s pretty rare.

Says Pat Nov 2something then it is worn off. The only other one I\'ve seen was on Ruby Lane.

The painted porcelain has a scene of a buck, doe, and fawn getting a drink at dawn or dusk.

It also has a wonderful Art Nouveau repoussé handle with a nice beaded frame. The handle is unusual, featuring a gutta-percha in faux deer horn. This type of material was used during the turn of the century for daguerreotype picture frames. It is very seldom used for mirror handles, making this a bit unusual.

The porcelain disk has a nice gold border and the silver plating is very much intact, signed G. SILVER which is German material that actually contains

little to no silver content at all.

In excellent condition for age. Silver rim is in really nice condition, with only a coupe of small marks

Mirror is clear with some light scratches from sitting on dresser.

Paint is all there. Gold rim on porcelain showing a little wear.

Handle excellent. Brass screw on bottom.

DIMENSIONS: 9.25\" long x 5.25\" dia

Look at pictures well..I know nothing about these and don\'t know what you\'d be looking for.

It is a Hard to Find item, for sure!!
