Very Unusual Painted Russian Icon (I Don\'t Know which Saint It Depicts)
Seems to Be Rare; I Have Not Been Able to Find Anything Remotely Similar Online
Mounted on Slightly Curved Wood Back with Embroidered Surround (Similar to Oklad or Riza, but Not Metal)
Surround is Decorated with Glass Beads, Possibly Cultured Pearls, and Semi Precious Stone
Brass Halo and Cross Metal Chain on Back for Hanging
Made in Russia (based on letters in painted book) Estate Find
Size: 5-5/8\" wide, 9\" high, and 1/2\" thick Total Weight: 5.5 oz.
Really nice condition, though some faint wear to paint; I haven\'t dared try to clean it
