Fresh from an old estate, we recently acquired this lovely and very unusual pair of antique wire back earringsoutside I am no

They feature wonderful old antique rose cut diamonds collette set in silver on an oval lozenge of black french jet glass, surrounded in 14k yellow gold.

The diamonds are typical for the era with rose cut faceting and slightly irregular rounded shapes

Unmarked but tested by jeweler to be 14k and sterling silver. They also have an illegible hallmark stamp on the sides and earwires. Most likey european gold standard stamps.

The diamonds looks beautiful in only a way that an old cut diamonds could be. They are not perfectly cut. The beauty is in the hand cut facets and marvelous sparkle, clear to gray colored hue in the lovely original silver collette setting .

They are 20 mm long from top wire to bottom of lozenge. The oval lozenge is 14.2 mm long and 11.6 mm wide. Each diamond with silver surround is 5 mm by 4.5 mm.

Make sure to super size the pics.

They are in good estate condition. Some normal wear from use and age to the gold.
