Here is another RARE c1800 Georgian enamel patch box oval with all white ground.
Has cracks and the mirror under the lid is cracked too.
The picture is hand painted and shows a Grandmother sat on an arm chair sewing with a grandson on a plain wood chair opposite and a cat sat on the floor between them.
The title is
The Dutiful Grandson
The wording around the top and bottom says
I wish from my Heart one of us three was hang\'d 
I don\'t mean you poor pufs - nor do I mean myself.
Pufs .. is the old English language use of an f and an s used as a double ss.
There is a small area of restoration on the left hand side and you can see where the base metal frame has been pushed back in and glued here.
Overall this is a fabulous enamel patch box with most interesting wording.
It has very fine raised dots too as a border between the picture and the outer edge with the wording. 
The enamel box is 2 inch long x 1 and 3/4 inch wide from the thumb catch to the hinge x 1 inch deep.

I have not found another enamel box to compare this with ...only found the BM website here with the original painting done about 1792 ...
