RARE Authentic Antique RI Civil War Staff Officer Colonel Frock Coat…… Over the last week or so we have been listing a nice selection of antique US Army Military Memorabilia. This sale is for a rare, authentic, Civil War Period, Rhode Island, Staff Officers Frock Coat. We have posted many close up photographs so that you can see the amazing clean condition this wool Coat is in. Even the original lining is clean with no spots or tears. At the top sewn under the lining is a label from the Thomas W. Chace & Company from Providence RI. This tailor company was in business during the Civil War and made uniforms for officers. We have had trouble making out the name but it looks like “Col. W.S. Nick??s Jr. or something similar. Underneath it says May 89?.” There are 21 large and 6 small gilded brass Rhode Island buttons made by D. Evans & Co. Attleboro Mass. This company was also in business during the Civil War and made Military Buttons. When you look at the photographs of the bottom of the sleeves you will see only two buttons. It looks like the sleeves were shortened and the third button is tuck underneath. The measurements of this Coat are 16 inches at the shoulder seams, with 24 1/2 inch sleeves, a 1 3/8 inch thick collar and a 36 inch back length. You will be hard pressed to find a better example of a Civil War Colonels Frock Coat. Like all the other Civil War and Military Memorabilia we are listing from this private collection there is !

Please be aware that UPS will be increasing all shipping rates by 4.9% and this increase is effective as of December 29th, 2014.
UPS is also using a new billing structure which calculates the cost of shipping using Dimensional weight instead of the actual weight of the package. More information about this change can be found on UPS’s website and if you see an increase in the shipping calculator, this is why.
If you find that there is a discrepancy between 's estimate and your invoiced shipping cost, we apologize. We are currently working closely with to have the calculator provide accurate costs. In the meantime, we are manually and accurately adjusting each invoice after the close of the sale. We assure you that we do not make money on shipping! We also assure you that we properly and professionally pack every item as well as fully insure each package. At the end of each day, any buyer who has paid $5 or more over actual shipping costs, will receive a refund!
Payments:
Payment must be received within 5 days of receiving an invoice. PayPal payments are preferred and if payment, or contact from the buyer, isn't received within 5 days, an dispute will be opened. This dispute will be closed within 4 days after being opened and the item will be re-listed. If you have a problem, please call us and we will help you solve it.
If you do not want your item shipped immediately (within 24hrs) please get in contact with us before paying! Most freight items are still shipped via UPS Ground, however some are too large and will be shipped via SEKO Worldwide. US Buyers: The shipping calculator on the sale is an estimate and actual charges will be figured at the close of each sale. Our standard method of shipping is UPS ground however, if you prefer USPS this is also an option. Any item that sells for over $250 must be sent with signature required and if you choose USPS, it will be shipped via express mail.
International buyers: Please be aware that you may incur a brokerage and/or customs fee upon delivery. Winning buyer is responsible for shipping & customs charges and we WILL NOT LIE on customs forms. This is illegal and is against ’s policies. All items that sell for over $250 are sent via express mail. If you have questions regarding this, please feel free to contact us.

Returns:

If the item was described properly, the buyer is responsible for return shipping and original shipping will not be refunded.
