A beautiful work of artis this platehanded painted by G Bentley for Anysley.
So rare, I could find no information about the pattern.
Icontacted the Anysley headquarters. Due to a fire in 2008, much of their early historyregarding the numerous patterns created since 1775.
What I know is this: They were on display since the 1930\'s. Usedfor special occasions, the plate up for sale is in Mint condition!
The all over floral gildingis fantastic over the cobalt bluerim. The rimhas a slightly scalloped edge. More gilding patterns of dots and flowersradiate around the handpainted posies by G. Bentley against a white background.
The guilding is substantial and the plate weighs almost a pound and a half!
The plate measures 10\" in diameter.
