I might mention at the outset that this item does not violate \'s prohibited items policy because a sight base has nothing to do with whether or not a rifle fires.

YES, Cooey got into rifle sights for the Canadian Army, more specifically, they made this base to be mounted to the Lee Enfield No.1 rifle .22 Mk. III conversion and it was teamed up with a Ross Rifle sight leaf. This sale is for the base only. It measures 2 3/4\" long. I have shown it mounted on a No.1 rifle sporter I had around the house. As you see, the vertical slot milled on the back registers perfectly over the left face of the charger guide. It\'s almost a click fit on my rifle. Two holes must then be drilled in the receiver though, for display purposes only, the click fit holds it on perfectly and you don\'t have to drill your rifle. You could always glue a couple of screw heads into the countersinks to look like it was fixed to the rifle.

If you have the upper plate for this, you\'re in action. I could also see a handy fellow making one.
