RARE Incredible find and entire important collection being presented for sale! Orpha Banks was a member of the Degree of Pocahontas and a member of the Great Color Guard. This is Bank\'s collection of items from the Improved Order of Redmen Degree of Pocahontas, Great Council of Kansas, Nevada Council, Hutchinson Kansas. Sometimes this organization is incorrectly referred to as \"Daughters of Pocahontas.\" Degree of Pocahontas is the women\'s auxiliary of the Improved Order of Red Men and since the 1970s the Degree has sponsored American Indian Development which provides health and educational service for Native American children. The DOP has also sponsored the Indian Affairs Project which provides food and clothing the people on Indian reservations.

This incredible collection includes:

• 6 celluloid pin back buttons with ribbons from Great Council Sessions of Kansas featuring the Great Pocahontas from 1936 (w/celluloid name tag), 1937 (w/celluloid name tag), 1938, 1946, 1956, 1959

• One cardboard button with ribbons and with safety pin from same sessions from 1944

• One 2-1/4\" pin back button name tag from 1937 54th Great Council of Kansas Improved Order of Red Men

• One \"Degree Team\" pin with D. Of P. sticker.

• One ribbon from 1945 Colorado Great Council Session.

• 3 IORM & D of P District Meeting No. 1 ribbons, one written on \"Pratt 1938\"

• 19 Degree of Pocahontas dues receipts dated from 1935 to 1941.

• Pamphlet Proceedings of the Great Council of Kansas Degree of Pocahontas 48th Great Sun Council October 1-2, 1946.

• Pamphlet By-Laws and Rules of Order of Newasa Council No. 67 D. of P. Imp\'d O.R.M. Hutchinson Kansas adopted 1925.
