DescriptionAN EXTREMELY RARE LATE 18TH OR EARLY 19TH CENTURY NEW ENGLAND CARVED AND DECORATED SNUFF BOX IN NATIVE BIRCH AND PINE IN OLD VARNISHED SURFACE AND PATINA WITH FLORAL AND VINE CARVED DESIGNS ON THE FRONT AND ENDS AND A GREAT CARVED SCENE ON THE TOP OF A YOUNG BOY WITH CHICKENS AND ROOSTERS.
IT STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL TIN HINGES.
