RARE AND WONDERFUL
FITZ & FLOYD CANDLE HOLDERS
They are candle holders but on their own, without candles, they make quite a striking display.
This early Fitz & Floyd pair is so stylized they appear to be taken from an earlier era than the one in which they were made. But, they are 1960\'s designs (early F&F), made in Japan.
The paper \"FF\" label with \"Japan\" and the ©FF impression are on both pieces. Glaze is black, mirror finish.
There are no cracks or crazing. There are a couple of very minute, very shallow nicks which we covered with black magic marker and they are impossible to photograph. The only way to know they are there is to very lightly rub your fingers. There are a couple of very small, very shallow chips on the bottoms and you can see that the clay is red on one of them. All that being said, on display no one will ever know.
They are about 9 3/4\" across by 9\" high. Before packing they weigh about 1 lb. 12 oz. They are extremely fragile and will be packed accordingly.
This is a rare set and these don\'t come along often!
