This is a really BEAUTIFUL and SUPER RARE vintage LARGE GOLD or GILT metal FILIGREE hinged jewelry box in an UNUSUAL shape! This was my moms and she had it for many, many years. It has two ADORABLE DETAILEDANGELS on top blowing trumpets and twoBIRDS in front, one on the door (which serves as a knob!) and one on the front of the jewelry box! It is decorated with WONDERFUL FILIGREE DETAIL and INTRICATE scrolls and more all over! There are 4 ORNATE feet and the top front BEVELED GLASS lid raises up to reveal the gold color velvet jewelry compartment inside. This is HEAVY and GREAT QUALITY! It may be Matson, Stylebuiltor Globebut itis unsigned. ANOTHER SELLER HAD THIS IDENTICAL PIECE ON FOR $616.25 -DOWN FROM $725.00 SO I BELIEVE MINE IS A REALLY FAIR PRICE! It measures 6\" tall, 6\" long and 5 3/8\" wide. The gold velvet inside the jewelry box compartment is in excellent condition (it shows through the filigree too!) and the compartment measures 5 5/8\" by 4 7/8\". Gold plate is in WONDERFUL condition! There are few very tiny scratches and a little tiny bit of discoloration here and there but not noticeable. Inside the gold velvet is in great condition too with no rips or stains and only a light vertical line that resembles shading more than anything else and is very difficult to see.The bottom is a black velvet material that is also in great condition with no rips or tears but a tiny bit discolored but can\'t be seen unless you turn it over!
