In Antique, Degraded Condition

Bindingis no longerin tact,and corners are separated and worn
Pages show signs of age & somebrown, dust-soiled spots
Remarkably, it does NOT have a musty, mildewy,or smoky smell

This RARE Geneva Bible, although poorly rebound c1850-1900, carries much of its original content
(including a fragment of the Whole Book of Psalms, most of the Old Testament, all of the Apocrypha,
a nearly complete New Testament, and a good portion of the Dual Concordances).
It has leather, navyleather boards, gilt-borders, with some bubbling, warping, and moderate wear, as shown.
Sadly, all of the Bible titles are lacking, but the printer\'s information is retained from the Whole Book of Psalms.
One can also see a portion of Barker\'s name on the partial colophon of the New Testament as well.
The Geneva Bible was first issued in England in 1575.
It would become the Bible of Shakespeare, Milton and Bunyan as well as the Pilgrim Fathers.
The key advantage of the Bible was its size.
As a quarto, it could easily be held and read, making it the first domestic Elizabethan Bible.
