Millet Co (1897-98). 10 color flower collotypes by Kazumasa Ogawa, 60 Hand colored albumen photographs, 10 art reproduction plates, numerous hand colored albumen text illustrations/photographs (200), 462 pages (382 pages of text w/200 text illus. + 80 full plates). The books are organized into specific topics: Japanese festivals, history, customs, medieval Japan, etc. This set is renowned for its superb visual content. Some wear to the covers, some tissue covering plates are wrinkled but set is complete and bindings are tight considering the age of the books.
