This is a large size, RARE fossil ammonite calledMortoniceras equidistans. It is around one hundred a three million years old. It shared the world with the dinosaurs and it\'s species died out with them.

It comes from the Upper Albian Stage, Cretaceous Series, Washita Group, Fort Worth formation of North Texas, U.S.A.

It measures 7-3/8\" wide, 6-3/8\" tall, 2\" thick and weighs 3.6 LBS. It has great ribs and tubercles! It has no repair.

I found, excavated, prepared and identified this ammonite and it has all of the paleontology, stratigraphy and locality information on the back.
