A VERY RARE & CHARMING MEISSEN PAIR OF FIGURAL TURKISH SWEETMEAT STANDS c1840
AFTER THE ORIGINAL J.F. EBERLEIN MODEL c1744
A very rare and wonderful pair of figures in Turkish dress as sweetmeat stands and made by the famous Meissen manufactory in the middle of the 19th century after an
original model by J.F. Eberlein in 1744.
MEISSEN, underglaze blue crossed swordsmarks, ca 1840-60. incised model numbers 777, and red painters number 4. In very good condition. Undamaged. Minimal restoration to the tip of her shoe. His turbans feather has been expertly restuck. Otherwise very very good condition. Please do inspect my photographs carefully they represent my full condition report.
