RARE MINT Vntg. Gilded Sadler #3185 Teapot Bell BottomTent Carousel Shape w/TAG:

This is a RARE SADLER TEAPOT #3185in the unusual shape known as Bell Bottomor sometimes referred to as Tent or Carouselwith a pretty floral transfer and bright gilding.
This teapot is as MINT as you are going to findexcept when these were new from the manufacturer.I don\'t believe it has ever been used and theHARROD\'s tag is still firmly affixed and shiny gold on the bottom.

Size:

4-1/2\" base to top of teapot (without lid);
With the lid on, 7\" tall
Just shy of 9\" long spout to handle.

Hallmarks:

Raised lettering \"SADLER ENGLAND\"
In Gold Paint \"3185\" and initials that I can\'t make out but look closest to \"IL\" in the form of a straight line down and a partial arc.(See pictures of bottom of teapot and see what you think the initials are.)

Condition:

I can find absolutely no damage whatsoever to either thegilding or the floral transfer.
No chips, nicks, fleabites.
Absolutely NO CRAZING, which is becoming harder to find in these teapots.
The flowers are pristine and bright (if you thought you saw any damage, go through all the photos as it was hard not to get glare but there isabsolutely no paint fading or missing on this teapot).
The only thing I\'ve been able to find is a slight gilding OVERRUN (not deficit) inside of the area where the lid goes over it aligned with the back handle. Not visible with lid on. This is original to the manufacture and so minor I challenge you to see it clearly in the last picture.
