Up for offers isa very cool and rare early 1930\'s 2 tone PEERLESS Wing Back styleleather football helmet! Is this a sweet helmet or what! As you can see in the photos, it has seen many gridiron battles but there is no major damage (see all photos). The leatheris soft and supple and still very strong! It has a nice shine and that antique leather aroma we all know and love!Check out how nearly all of the original black patina has worn down displaying the beautiful original brown patina!It has a beautiful 2 tone brown and gray patina! No dyes, colored polishes, or coloring of any kind used. The gray hard shell sections of the helmet are in great shape and still have the original factory patina! The interior of the helmet is in good shape. All of the leather is present and has only the usual light surface wear (see last 3 photos). The leather forehead padding is also in good shape. Marked on the suspension strap connecting pad is the PEERLESS makers mark (see close-up). We would guess the helmet to be around a size 7 - 7 1/8.Wood display stand is not included!This awesome antique Peerless wing back leather football helmet and head will look amazing displayed in your office, sports room, or man cave!
